AppDesigner is a litle bit different than some of the other companies presented in this site, they see themselves as an app publisher and are specially looking for apps that “fulfil a need in the market and have commercial resonance and viability”. If you have a great idea for an app concept use AppDesigner to make it reality.
The differece with AppDesigner is that there is no charge for their service, so you can submit App Concepts to them free of charge. However they decide if the app will be published or not, i.e if they believe in it. If they accept them, there is no charge by them to hand-build and test the app. Then you split the revenue 50/50. They take 50% of the Gross receipts after apple takes their 30%. Essentially it breaks down to Apple 30%, AppDesigner 35%, Customer 35%.
Apps made with the AppDesigner software can ONLY be published by AppDesigner..latest news from them is also that all apps must have a selling price, i.e NO FREE APPS.
How-it-works:
Download: AppDesigner software
Make an app concept: Drag & drop images, video, and audio files to prototype an App Concept
Review: When app is finished you upload the app to AppDesigner and wait for their Business Development team to review your App Concept and provide an Upload Code to build the finished App.
Upload The App Concept to AppDesigner.com: When you receive your Upload Code, upload your App Concept to AppDesigner.com’s servers. Their technicians will hand-build a Native iOS App for release in the iOS App Store.

Can help publish:
App Publication is their business. Apps made with the AppDesigner software can ONLY be published by AppDesigner.
Reference case:
Skateboard Instructional Video
Possibility of profit for user? How?:
High. Because they are the App Publisher, they ONLY accept App Concepts that they think will make money. It’s free for App Creator’s to pitch them an App Concept using the AppDesigner Software, but ultimately their technicians must make the App. Because there’s a cost accrued on our end for every App created, they will only publish Apps that we feel will make money both for us, and for the App Creator. All App Revenue is split with you 50/50.
Marketing help:
Apps of high quality will be promoted by AppDesigner website. As the App Publisher, driving traffic and sales to the Apps in their catalogue is as important to them, as it is to the App Creator.
Specific speciality? Games, Quiz, companies, etc?:
Enhanced Band Album Apps, Video Apps, Instructional Video, Musical Instruments
Can make custom made apps?:
All Apps are custom-made. There’s no templates at AppDesigner. Your App is as unique as you design it to be. Final Apps are Native iOS Apps and not web templates.

Cons: simulator software does not always reflect what is given. So your design ultimately gets lost in translation. Also, getting a hold of the app designer team can be tough! The communication system is awkward if they are too busy to accept any new apps, it seems.
